So it’s the start of a new year and your resolution is to be fitter, healthier and lose some weight. It’s only day 5 of 2017 but we all know your new year’s resolution probably won’t last and your goal to lose weight before the summer holidays will soon be slipping out of reach, unlike that last mince pie. New year’s resolution rarely work because people tend to view them as short term solutions which will only become harder and harder to stick to as life gets busier. You don’t need a fad diet, you need discipline. Making small, but consistent, changes to your diet and exercise regime will help you to get the body you want eventually, but making a resolution probably won’t.
That’s where Nutribuddy comes in…
What’s In The Kit?
Nutribuddy’s weight loss kit provides a range of different health products that can help you on your way. Make no mistake, this is no magic fix. If you want to change your body and your health then you’re going to have to work for it. But if you’re completely new to the fitness game (or even if you’re a veteran!), products like these can help you get started.
I received the Weight Loss Ultimate Kit which retails at £62.99 from the Nutribuddy website. This is made up of six different components:
1. Sculpting Whey Shake – a healthy shake which helps you feel full and gives you an energy boost (115 calories per serving).
2. Hunger Fix tablets – capsules which stop hunger cravings.
3. Multivitamin tablets – tablets which contain vitamins & minerals to help with your overall wellbeing.
4. Shaker Bottle – a little shaker bottle for mixing up your Sculpting Whey. It’s attractive, BPA-Free and dishwasher safe!
5. Little Book of Weight Loss – a handy little booklet which contains lots of facts about the products as well as information on how to take them. It also contains an eating plan and recipe ideas.
6. Recipe Book – a little book which contains lots of yummy recipe ideas
What’s more, all these products are 100% natural, are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten-free.
I have tried a lot of protein powders in my life and whilst some of them are bearable, most of them taste disgusting and almost none of them taste good. Nutribuddy’s sculpting way comes in somewhere between good and great, which makes it much better than a lot of its competitors.
I usually make mine up with water which creates a vanilla flavoured shake. I try to use a little water as possible to make it thicker and more like a real shake, otherwise it may end up tasting like sweetened water. If you want something a little creamier, you can use milk instead of water with this powder. My only complaint is that the powder scooper this comes with is too wide for the Nutribuddy bottle, so you have to be careful when pouring the whey in. NB. Apparently this problem has been solved and current batches of whey contain a smaller scooper.
It’s really hard to say the exact effect a tablet has on you but I certainly managed to control my snack addiction a little better when trying out this whole package. Whether that was strictly from the hunger fix tablets, the increase in protein or pure self-discipline (unlikely if I’m being perfectly honest 😜) I’m not sure, but whatever it was, it worked. These pills are easy to swallow and pretty much tasteless, which is all you can ask for really. I found that taking these tablets each day helped me get into a routine as I took them at the same time each day, which helps you to train your mind that you’re in fitness mode. I felt a lot better in all aspects of my health, both physical and mental, and I’m sure the increase in vitamins played a part in that.
How I Used Nutribuddy
I have used this Nutribuddy kit as a supplement to my workout regime as I was already going to the gym almost every day and fairly fit (I think 😜). I wasn’t looking to lose weight but to boost my health, which Nutribuddy certainly helped me with. Personally, the sculpting whey was the most useful part of the package for me as it meant that after my workout I could enjoy a yummy shake and be sure that my muscles were getting the stuff they needed after a hard workout. Over the past year I have started moving away from the cardio and doing more stuff with weights, which is when I think you should start thinking about protein powders.
Whilst trying this package I wasn’t deliberately controlling my food intake or anything like that but as I said, I felt less of an urge to snack in-between meals. Most importantly for me, I gained a lot of muscle and toned up quite a lot, which was partly due to the exercises I was doing and partly due to the increased protein in my diet thanks to this kit.
If you’re someone that’s a little out of shape and perhaps overweight, I imagine this starter kit will work wonders for you and encourage you to go further by yourself. If you workout regularly and supplement your diet with these products and eat fairly healthily, there is not reason why you shouldn’t start shedding the pounds. The recipe guides accompanying this kit will give you lots of inspiration for where to start and guide you towards the sort of things you should be eating.
I actually received this Nutribuddy package over a year ago and I’m still using their sculpting whey so it’s definitely something to try if you’re looking for an extra dose of protein to help with both muscle building and weight loss! I think Nutribuddy’s products are suitable both to those who just hopping on the fitness bandwagon and those who have been at it for a long time already.
