Less than one week to go! Christmas is fast approaching and I’m sure there are lots of you out there who still have not done your Christmas shopping. I am notoriously bad at Christmas shopping, I always leave it to the last minute and end up having to grab what’s available instead of what I wanted to buy – but not this year!
This gift guide is for the young woman who loves fashion, spends most of her time on Instagram and is an all-round #basicbitch. Sound like someone you know? Keep reading…
1. Rose Gold Shell Cross Body Bag – SkinnyDip London
Things have gone a bit mer-crazy this year. Mermaid beards appear to be the latest trend for men. SkinnyDip has always been one of my favourite shops and they’ve always got some really great, quirky items on offer. If I’m looking for a new phone case or something just a bit different, Skinny Dip is my first port of call. I’ve had my eye on this rose gold shell bag for a while now but haven’t bought it since I’ve been out of the country. But since it’s Christmas… (Hello Mum, I hope you’re reading this).
2. Tangle Teezer
Tangle teezer where have you been all my life?! These have been on the market for a while now but I’ve only just got my hands on one. Whilst I used to want one of these simply because everyone seemed to have one, I have come to realise that this really is one of the most innovative beauty products out there at the moment. I don’t know how it does it but this guy manages to sort out even the worst tangles without pulling half the hair out of my head. It also seems to work as a sort of straightener, leaving my hair feeling soft, fine and straight. I have no idea how or why the tangle teezer works as well as it does but this could be someone’s Christmas miracle.
3. Johanna Bedford Colouring Book
There are loads of colouring books out there but this one has to be one of my favourites. Overtime I walk past it in a bookstore I look at how pretty the patterns are. Amazon best-seller and my personal favourite is ‘The Enchanted Forest”; it’s by far the prettiest and the most intricate of all the colouring books I’ve seen. The only reason I haven’t bought one yet is because all my colouring gear is back in England but this Christmas…
4. Beanie Co’s Flavoured coffee assortment
Does she love pumpkin spice lattes? Gingerbread nut lattes? Has she already Instagrammed a picture of that Starbucks red cup? Then this is the perfect gift for her. You can create your own assortment of Christmassy coffee flavours with Beanie Co. this season. I opted for Very Vanilla, Double Chocolate and Cinnamon Hazelnut, all flavours to soften the taste of the coffee which is my kind of drink! Very Vanilla has to be my favourite flavour as it makes the drink much more creamy and sweet – but not too sweet. If you like hot chocolate and you like coffee, then you’re going to love Beanies Double Chocolate flavour coffee. It’s the perfect drink on a winter morning to warm you up! I wasn’t sure if cinnamon and hazelnut would really work together but the nutty flavour really suits the cinnamon and is something just a little different. With only 2 calories per cup, you’ve got nothing to feel guilty about this Christmas!
5. Soap and Glory “It’s the whole she-bang!”
The big soap and Glory bag comes in at £60 as per usual though it comes in a sort of mondrian-style pattern bag this year which is a little different to their usual style. Soap and Glory are known for their Christmas set and they never disappoint. This year it’s filled with their award winning products: Righteous Butter, Clean on Me, The Scrub of Your Life, Hand Food and Heel Genius just to name a few. Although it seems pricey it’s filled with enough products to last you at least half the year so really it’s worth it in my opinion. If you’re looking for beauty gift sets that are a little bit more upmarket, try Ted Baker – their gift sets never disappoint.
6. Yankee candle
To be honest I don’t really get what the all the fuss is about when it comes to Yankee candles but they’re all over Insta and it seems that young women go gaga for them too now. Candles are not just for your mum or your gran, your girlfriend will love them too. These can have a real calming effect and are fantastic for getting rid of smells after cooking or helping wind down in a hot bath tub.
7. Instax mini 8
Not the cheapest of presents but is sure to go down a storm. Not only do Instax mini cameras look adorable, they’re also incredibly useful for recording only the most special moments. I don’t think I know any girl who doesn’t want one of these…
8. #GirlBoss, Not That Kind of Girl, Yes, Please, Why Not Me?
I’ve seen these books all over Instagram, from readers and ‘non-readers’ alike. Written by inspirational women and ‘girl bosses’, these four books are inspiring women everywhere to take control of their lives and their careers and be brave enough to go onto achieve what they have always dreamed of. Sometimes a girl needs a little motivation and these books could be just the thing…
9. Cinematic Lightbox
Perfect for a blogger friend or anyone who’s into cute, slightly useless, Instagrammable room decorations. There are lots of letters with this so you can create pretty much any message and make it as fun as you want!
10. Magnitone BareFaced Sonic Cleanser
Again, not the cheapest of presents as this will set you back a good £79 but it is 100% worth it. This is an indispensable facial cleansing tool that suits every skin type and will make a huge difference to your skin if used every day. I don’t really have spot-prone skin anyway but this sonic cleanser gives me silky smooth skin immediately and whilst I was skeptical of these products at first, I now fully support their use.

Available from stores such as Amazon and Boots.
Essentially I’ve just written my Christmas wish list to Santa. I already own quite a few of these and will probably be buying them rest of them for myself after Christmas #nobodylovesme.
This list is very fashion/beauty centered but there are of course lots of other things out there that you can get your loved ones. I should be writing a bookish Christmas guide soon which will hopefully be published soon!
Not too long to go now – what’s the coolest gift you’ve bought for someone this Christmas?
